 I would love that at this moment you take a deep breath in great anticipation that you are about to learn something that would change you for the better. It's no doubt that you've come across multiple resources intending to explicate how one can live a  happy life- but if you have to be sincere with me, how many of those rules of happiness can you remember? I wasn't expecting an answer though but you know how difficult it was trying to remember one.

Alright!! I have no intentions to make you feel like all that you had learnt about happiness and living a more happy life was a watse of time. I'm only trying to bring your consciousness to the moment else these beautiful secrets you're about to know will as well be forgotten. Be intentional about keeping at heart these secrets and you soon will attest to your astonishing transformation. Promise you'll keep to heart and practice all that you will learn. Thank you!! Now let's get started. The first on the list is;

1. MAKE PEACE WITH YOUR PAST

You have undoubtedly gone through traumatic and painful seasons in the past, you find it even difficult forgiving yourself for the wrongs of your past. The truth remains that only if you make peace with your past can you be happy in this present moment. The past loves to find its way to the present but you don't always have to let it in else it robs you the joy of the moment and destroys the hope of the future. Leave the past behind--- Enjoy the present moment --- Anticipate a better future.

2. LIVE LIKE A CHILD

Sure you did not see this coming. Mind you-- I am not of the opinion you live childishly but childlike (childishness is usually used to describe the silly and immature traits of a child and on the other hand child-likeness describes, and is used more often in painting a picture of innocence, trustworthiness and all of those favorable qualities-- I heard someone say cuteness 😂. I got you right?

Ever asked a child what their aspirations in life are? Do you remember the "big names" they mentioned with such audacity? Really!!! What gave you that courage you'd say. Well, the answer is they live in the simplicity of life.

Ain't you also surprised at their ease of forgiving? They hold no grudge. One minute they are spanked, the next minute they are laughing and playing, totally forgetting what took place earlier. Considered their ignorance? They are pretty excited about everything- they call you to come SEE. See the moon, See the dog, they would call out in exhilaration. They seem to enjoy everything. There's sure a lot to learn from children when it comes to matters of happiness.

3. REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE ADVANTAGED

The way you reason programs your way of living. Every emotional expression is backed up by a mind control system. Many people have allowed their circumstances dictate for them the times they should be happy, so when their expectations are cut short, they are all gloomy and devastated.

Every emotion is sponsored by a thought pattern and not necessarily the situation at hand. The BIG QUESTION is, what do you think about when you're sad? Take a moment and speculate- you would notice that the reason for your sadness is most likely your extravagant consideration of negative circumstances around you and with you.

Take a look at this: According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, about 5.9% have hearing difficulty, 4.6% are either blind or have difficulty seeing. But you reading this can see, you can hear fine, you can eat too and do daily activities on your own. Even if your can't, at least you're alive, your have your loved ones around you too be grateful for. So why are you so upset - you are better off so many people. Find a reason to smile and be happy - hold on to it with gratitude and cheerfulness.

4. EMBRACE YOUR LIMITATIONS

I remember a story I was once told of a fat lady who boarded a bus and just as she was about to sit, she noticed the usual stare of the passengers in the bus. She definitely knew what went through their minds.They surely must have thought about the discomfort they were about to face but before they could verbalize their thoughts - she made a remarkable statement, "You all know and can see that I am as big as two humans combined in one body, so I plead that you bear with me and don't take personally the discomfort I may bring" she smiled as she spoke.

Wow!!! I can only imagine what must have gone through the minds of these passengers: Such courage is rare - they would say. They of course laughed it off and the journey started off without complaints. It is amazing how she embraced her imperfections not because she loved it but because she prioritized her happiness above anything else. Love yourself, Be happy with yourself, Have a positive self image and watch the wonder that does in brightening every moment.

5.BE DETERMINED TO REMAIN HAPPY

Abraham Lincoln once said, most folks area as happy as they make up their minds to be. Happiness is a choice. Only you got the key to your happiness - no one else can make you happy. Don't give no one an opportunity to steal your joy. Humans are the most difficult beings to deal with and they would  bring to your table a thousand and one reasons to be upset. When this happens, remember that Happiness is a choice and not compulsorily an outcome of situations. Wake up everyday with a conscious decision to be happy without condition.

Now you know what only very few know. You are now on your way to living a happier life. I am certain you found this post helpful - please do well to share with your loved ones and your friends.
Together we can make a world of Happy people.
